The car was first registered by The Hendy Group on 24th March 1987 to another Ford retail dealer at the time, Nicklens of Fordingbridge, under their parent company Shering Builders Ltd. The Hendy Group then bought the car back through one of their subsidiary companies, Hendy Ford (Cosham) Ltd, on 3rd July 1997. This legendary car has only been used on a limited basis, mainly for shows and display purposes, and more latterly has been stored as part of the company's heritage collection of cars.
